Harry Hugo Little (b. 1995) lives and works in London, UK. He has recently graduated from Bath Spa, University BFA. Working with poetry and painting, Little’s work tackles themes of grief, loss Working with poetry and painting, Little’s work tackles themes of grief, loss and yearning in a subdued, thoughtful manner. Depicting the ‘calm after the storm’, Little untangles the web of emotion attached to loss through visual and verbal languages, allowing the viewer to contemplate and find peace within the artwork. In his recent debut solo show ‘don’t leave’ , exhibited at The Bomb Factory, London, Little presented a collection of 14 paintings and a poetry book, each painting representing a word from the first line of the first poem of the book. Stretched and distorted, Little pushes the visual limitations of a word, allowing for perspective to shape the viewer's understanding of the words and the work.
