D’Stassi Art presents a focused exhibition around Corner Seat, the new limited edition print by Chris “DAZE” Ellis, created in collaboration with Dark Green Studios. The presentation includes a curated selection of hand embellished works and original pieces, offering a clear view of how DAZE’s practice continues to evolve more than four decades after his early days painting the New York subway.

Born in Queens and active since the late seventies, DAZE remains one of the most respected figures from the original graffiti movement. His work blends the grit of the underground with a distinctly painterly approach, combining spray, acrylic, and bold gestural marks. These new works revisit the energy of the subway system while expanding it through saturated colour, soft gradients, and layered brushwork.

The centrepiece of this presentation, Corner Seat, captures the atmosphere of travelling through classic New York interiors, filtered through DAZE’s signature style. The image is drawn from themes explored in his South Bronx studio, where he continues to paint daily. The edition has been produced to a high standard, retaining the depth and intensity of the original work developed during the collaboration.
