OUR MISSION

"OUR CORE MISSION IS TO FIND, DEVELOP AND EXPOSE A HANDFUL OF TALENTED AND INNOVATIVE ARTISTS FOR A USUALLY OVERLOOKED YET EXCITING CONTEMPORARY AUDIENCE."

Since its founding in 2017, D’Stassi Art has evolved into an established platform for significant emerging and internationally recognised voices. Built on curatorial conviction rather than convention, the gallery introduces collectors to works grounded in cultural relevance, strong narratives and lasting artistic merit.

Through exhibitions, partnerships and cross-disciplinary projects, the gallery has connected global audiences with contemporary practices in ways that feel open, engaging and culturally resonant. Transparency and accessibility remain central to the gallery’s ethos, with a continued commitment to broadening participation in the contemporary art market.

Rejecting the constraints of traditional presentation, D’Stassi Art approaches exhibitions as living experiences, acting as storytellers and translators between artist, work and collector.

OUR FOUNDERS

"WE ARE BOTH FROM VERY DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS. HOWEVER, OUR STRENGTHS COME FROM THESE PARTICULAR DIFFERENCES, OFFERING KEY KNOWLEDGE SPANNING A VARIETY OF FIELDS."

D’Stassi Art was founded by Michael Howes and Edward Sanders, whose complementary backgrounds across culture, business and the creative industries shape the gallery’s distinctive perspective.

Over the past decade, the duo have built a programme that balances cultural relevance with commercial rigour, driven by a shared ambition to expand how and where contemporary art is experienced. Their approach has positioned the gallery as a bridge between artists, collectors, brands and wider audiences.

The gallery has presented sold-out exhibitions with leading street and contemporary figures including Angel “LAII” Ortiz and Lady Pink, alongside widely recognised artists such as Trevor Andrew and Lakwena. Beyond the exhibition space, D’Stassi Art has played a key role in shaping global brand activations and collaborative launches, extending artists’ reach into broader cultural contexts.
