On December 2nd D’Stassi Art opened our doors to our first ever group show Spotlight, which brought together 6 artists from our roster for the first time. Over a thousand art lovers, collectors and industry insiders came together at the gallery to celebrate our journey so far. The Spotlight artists - Adam Handler, Anthony Ronidone, Exhibit69, Peter Opheim, Rose Madone, and Sidney Teodoruk - each have their own unique styles that complement our vision as a gallery.
This was a significant show for the gallery as we have championed these artists since we first moved into the space. It has been a pleasure being able to see them all exhibited next to one another and we look forward to the next time we can curate a similar show.
Spotlight opened with a collection of over 50 incredible works in a variety of styles, shapes and colours. Some works are from previous collections, but the show was highlighting new, unseen works. As usual we had a great DJ, TheSheJay, and a fully stocked bar. Some famous faces that were noticed at the opening include The Diztortion, Arthur Hill and Stassi friend KishKash amongst others.
Peter Opheim and Anthony Rondinone proved particularly popular with both selling well on the evening. With some artworks seeing them in person can really add a whole new level of appreciation and value.
As with every classic D’Stassi exhibition, the show ended in a celebration of all artists involved which went late into the evening. We look forward to announcing our program for 2023 as we already have incredible artists locked in for groundbreaking solo exhibitions throughout the year. A lot of these are UK debuts and include some of our biggest additions to the roster yet.
Following the closing of Spotlight on the 9th February we will continue to update our collector with a monthly mailout. If you wish to subscribe please follow the link in the website footer. This is the best way to get early access to exhibitions, art market updates and find out the latest news from D’Stassi Art.
All the best,
The D’Stassi Art team
