DAZE Unveils New Limited Edition Print with Dark Green Studios and D’Stassi Art

D’Stassi Art, in collaboration with Dark Green Studios, presents a new limited edition print by pioneering New York graffiti artist DAZE. Produced in partnership with Art Plugged, the release centres on Corner Seat, a work that reflects DAZE’s enduring engagement with urban rhythm, narrative structure, and the lived experience of the city.

The edition comprises 175 standard prints alongside 5 hand embellished works, offering collectors both accessibility and rarity within a tightly controlled release. A gallery launch accompanies the online drop, giving collectors the opportunity to collect editions in person and view a presentation of original works by the artist.

Born Chris Ellis, DAZE emerged in the early 1980s as part of the generation that helped transition graffiti from the New York subway system into broader cultural and institutional contexts. His work captured movement, atmosphere, and social energy during a period of profound change in the city. By his early twenties, he was exhibiting at Fashion Moda and the Mudd Club, marking a shift from train painting to a recognised presence within contemporary art.

Over the following decades, DAZE has built a sustained practice spanning painting, public commissions, and collaborations, while maintaining a visual language deeply shaped by New York. Corner Seat continues this trajectory, foregrounding compositional clarity, tonal balance, and spatial rhythm that define his mature work.

The hand embellished works introduce a more tactile dimension, revealing traces of process and material presence that offer a closer encounter with the artist’s studio practice. Positioned within ongoing conversations around street informed practices and the gallery space, the edition functions not only as a collectible object, but as an entry point into DAZE’s wider artistic legacy.

The launch prioritises physical gathering and shared experience, reinforcing the value of direct engagement alongside digital release. For collectors, curators, and institutions, the edition represents renewed contact with an artist whose influence on global visual culture remains significant.

Corner Seat launches on 12 December 2025 at D’Stassi Art, 12 to 18 Hoxton Street, Shoreditch, London.
